The Original Art Show at The Society of Illustrators


The Society of Illustrators in New York is host to so many wonderful shows throughout the year. But the hands-down, all-out, gotta-love-it, most charming is always the Original Art Show. Dave Wheeler: HOW Magazine

Dave Wheeler’s unique blend of illustration, 3-D objects and photography landed him a plum assignment for HOW Magazine’s Special Business Issue. Working non-stop for a month, Dave conceived, created and shot fifteen dimensional illustrations.


“I had a little over a month to do the project. And it sent me on some amazing shopping trips; people look at you strangely when you ask if they carry rotary phones…”

Otto Steininger: Primo Promo Calendar


Otto Steininger’s 2007 calendar did more than just mark time. Created as a promo piece for a select group of about 75 clients, the calendar made it into the competitions of American Illustration 26 (due out in November), Communication Arts' Design Annual (November issue) and 3x3 magazine's Pro Show #4 which will be released in Jan/08.

Michael Gibbs: Artwork Inspired by Songs

Illustrator Michael Gibbs starts a new creative chapter with a handmade book of artwork inspired by lyrics alluding to color.


Michael’s upcoming Gallery exhibition features handmade books in two sizes and bindings, plus thirty framed giclee prints of all artwork from the book.
